a day in the sun

today the OLO crew was out on the hunt for some wild greens to do tests on some new dishes for the restaurant. couldn't really have asked for a nicer day! It's february and the sheep sorrel, miners lettuce and chcikweed are already abundant. we were incredibly lucky to be accompanied by our knowledgable forager Lance. I cant get over how much greenery is already out in the middle of winter.

getting ready to launch, crossing our t's and dotting our i's

it's been a hectic couple of months setting this thing in motion, poring over the details worrying about getting everything just so. we've finished planning and now it's time to buckle down and get the food on the table! not sure yet just how crazy it is to be launching a new restaurant at the beginning of dine around victoria? we'll let you know, in the immortal words of jimmy buffet "people who think too much before they act don't act too much".
